In simple words snipping is the process where a bidder places his bid just before the few seconds of closing auction. Here it would be important to mention that sniping is not new concept in auction. Whereas the fact is that the major role in this whole incidence is played by ebay sniping software which snips the bid just before the closing of auction, without giving any option to bidder to think for another price option to bid goods he is willing to buy. Sometimes he feels that this was because of low internet speed delivered by his modem due to which he could not kept himself updated with changing circumstances and sometimes he considers some other reason for his failure. This is not only painful moment and stunning moment for him to understand the change which took dramatically. But bidding online is difficult than bidding in normal auction, because sometimes when a bidder is confident to finally get the product sold to him and at the last moment as the time of auction gets over and he refreshes the button to know the final results he find the product sold to someone else. The only difference which differentiates online bidding from normal bidding is that here the sellers and buyers do not meet each other. The scene is completely different on ebay because as it is an online auction website the whole process is conducted similar to normal auction where bids are made by persons willing to buy any item and the person ready to pay highest amount succeeds in buying the product.
But buying and selling items on ebay is not similar to other websites where the buyers have to select the item they are willing to buy from specific online shopping portal and then order it by selecting the mode of payment in which he would like to make the payment. It would not be wrong to say that emergence of ebay set a benchmark for website dealing in business of online auction. Ebay is an established name in world of e-commerce since its inception in 1995 facilitating buyers and sellers to buy and sale different items required by them through online auction.
